Omg! I love this so much! Newt had to read a book about meerkats over break. Here is some of his report:

Winter break

Homework and viola rocked.  Exhausted the kids with a 70' sled luge track and igloo in the yard, water park nearly every day, ice skating, roller skating, pretzel making, cookie baking, apple turnovers...

Movies... Sleeping in...

I'm pretty sure that wasn't on the curriculum back in my days in 2nd grade.
